Simulation and Modeling of Detailed Load flow Analysis for the 400kVA and 132kVA Iraqi Grid

A load flow program is developed using MATLAB and based on the Newton–Raphson method,which shows very fast efficient rate of convergence as well computationally proposed method it requires less computer memory through use sparsing other methods in programming to accelerate run speed be near real time. The designed computes voltage magnitudes phase angles at each bus network under steady–state operating conditions. It also power losses for all equipment, including transformers transmission lines taking into consideration effects off–nominal, tap shift transformers, generators, shunt capacitors, inductors, line reactors reactors. Thus, overloaded are identified, remedial measure can implemented. provides ability tie lines, area splitting, contingency analysis.Any generator station(s) or busbar(s) that exceeds specified operation limits will automatically checked flagged then suggest best solution problem. checks whether system sub divided areas not. If yes, find separately. complete report about results state (the violated busbars, required modifications overcome violations, names splitted,…) displayed working window generating a text file containing details . important mention this used by national control center Ministry Electricity its efficiency was tested applying data two major Iraqi networks (400kV 132kV), accurate notes status
